BusterCon 2023 is finally happening! Join the Mythos Busters and your fellow aficionados of Arkham Horror: The Card Game for four days of gaming fun. From June 1- June 4, 2023, we’ll be at the GameZenter in Roseville, MN.
Registration and Merch
Registration for the convention is happening entirely on the GameZenter’s website at: https://gamezenter.com/event/bustercon/
If you are traveling to the convention, we have a hotel block rate available at the DoubleTree near the GameZenter. Click here to book with breakfast included, and here to book without breakfast.
If you’d like to purchase BusterCon-themed merch, you can do so at Mythos Merch. If there is any other type of products that you’d like to see on the store, let us know. We will NOT be stocking or selling merch at the con, so please order in advance of the con if you plan on wearing it while in attendance.
Swag Preview
In this section, we’ll be previewing some of the swag that con attendees will get. These items are included with the purchase of a BusterCon ticket and attendance at the Con – we are not planning to ship these (other than to those who get them as part of the Board Member or Chief Officers of Waiting tiers on Patreon), so please do not purchase a ticket for the swag if you aren’t planning to attend. Watch for more items to be shown here as we get closer to BusterCon!

The Restricted Collection
The Restricted Collection, a library of standalones, challenge scenarios, and fan-made scenarios was created by Patron and friend of the show ReaverMann. A list of what’s included is here. The collection will be available – as with a regular library, you check things out and then return them when you’re done – Thursday and Friday evenings, and all day on Saturday and Sunday.

THURSDAY, JUNE 1
10:30 am – Labyrinths of Lunacy
Three teams of investigators are the prisoners of a mysterious mastermind — locked into a terrifying dungeon and forced to complete a series of twisted riddles to find their way to freedom. (Epic Multiplayer Standalone Scenario)
2:00 pm – How Low Can You Go (Taboo)
A special challenge scenario using the Depths of Yoth as a standalone scenario. Teams will dive into the depths to see how deep they can go; the highest Depths level wins! Using the current taboo list is required for this run, and if you own the cards to assemble this scenario, please consider bringing it with you. (Standalone Scenario using campaign cards)
6:00 pm – Epic Blob That Ate Everything
The town of Blackwater has been overrun by a mysterious Blob creature, and all of the investigator groups playing will work together to find a way to stop one, gigantic blob. (Epic Multiplayer Standalone Scenario)
FRIDAY, JUNE 2
10:30 am – Machinations Through Time
Three teams of investigators must travel through time to stop a mysterious group of scientists from altering the course of history. (Epic Multiplayer Standalone Scenario)
2:00 pm – Playtest the Busters’ New Scenario!
As conceived on our brainstorming episode, we are very excited to have a beta version of our next custom standalone scenario to show to everyone! (Standalone Scenario)
6:00 pm – Epic War of the Outer Gods
Teams of investigators must work together to stop three rival cults from summoning their own Ancient Ones. (Epic Multiplayer Standalone Scenario)
SATURDAY, JUNE 3
ALL DAY – Innsmouth Conspiracy IRONMAN
The capstone event of the Con, teams of players will play through the entire Innsmouth Conspiracy campaign in ONE SITTING. Find a team (contact us if you need help), and take down the mythos in an Arkham Marathon. The opening ceremony, the annual Drawing of the Weaknesses begins at 10:15, then we start playing the campaign ASAP once that’s finished. 11:00 am – How Low Can You Go (non-Taboo)
A special challenge scenario using the Depths of Yoth as a standalone scenario. Teams will dive into the depths to see how deep they can go; the highest Depths level wins! No need to conform to the taboo list for this run, and if you own the cards to assemble this scenario, please consider bringing it with you. (Standalone Scenario using campaign cards)
4:00 pm – 2 Horror 2 Gears
A special challenge scenario using the Horror In High gear as a standalone scenario. Teams will put the pedal to the metal and see how long you can drive before you run off the road, or run out of gas. The team who goes the farthest wins, and if you own the cards to assemble this scenario, please consider bringing it with you. (Standalone Scenario using campaign cards)
SUNDAY, JUNE 4
ALL DAY – Dead CCG Day
Bring whatever dead card game (see: not supported, old, out of print, etc.) you want and try a game or two that others have brought.
10:30 am – Epic multiplayer scenario game (attendees vote on which one)
6:00 – GTFO
We lead a pied piper style procession out of the Zenter
Policies
BusterCon’s code of conduct and anti-harassment policy, as well as the terms of service are linked here. All con attendees are expected to abide by the terms of those documents at all times.
Regarding COVID policy, there are not currently any state or local restrictions currently in effect regarding masks or showing proof of vaccination. As such, we encourage everyone to do what makes them most comfortable while attending the con. For example, some of the Mythos Busters plan on wearing a mask for most of the Con because that’s how they are approaching gatherings like this going forward. But, if others prefer no mask, that’s perfectly fine. Please just be sure to ask those you are playing with if they have a preference, and be respectful to everyone.
